home Stitches: A Reception Celebrating the Textiles of NedRa Bonds

What:
Join us for an opening reception celebrating the exhibit, "Stitches," which will feature the textile works of local artist NedRa Bonds, including the Women's Equity Quilt, created to commemorate the UMKC Women's Center's 40th Anniversary. The reception will include a play inspired by the quilt written by local playwright and UMKC alumna Kathleen Shaw and produced by Prof. Jennifer Martin of the UMKC Dept. of Theater. Dance accompaniment will feature students from the UMKC Conservatory of Music and Dance, choreographed by Prof. Sabrina Madison-Cannon. The exhibit will be on view through Friday, April 13.Free parking will be available in the parking garage at 52nd St. and Rockhill Rd (lot 32S).
