TurnAround Program Mentor orientation

- Catholic Charities of Kansas City, St. Joseph is recruiting mentors for its TurnAround Program which welcomes the ex-offender population back into the community. The TurnAround Program supports men and women who have been incarcerated or jailed in making positive life choices that enable them to make healthy transitions back into the community. The mentoring component is designed to help them develop goals, learn new coping strategies, and foster a positive influence in future decision making. Mentors are often the only positive, caring person in our clients lives, and we always have clients in need of a mentor. Mentors must be over 24 and provide a positive example in the eyes of their mentees. Mentor Orientation is the 4th Saturday of every month and lasts for about five and a half hours.
